Kelly Simpson, MS
Professor Kelly Simpson is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership Studies. The year 2021 will be her 20th year as a Citadel employee. She has worked in Campus Recreation, Admissions, and Intercollegiate Athletics. She most notably served as an Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator for 11 years prior to joining the Department of Leadership Studies full time. She has experience teaching undergraduate courses at all levels in Health and Wellness, Sport Management, and Leadership Studies.
Prof. Simpson also serves as the Graduate Certificate Advisor for the department. She values students and looks forward to teaching undergraduates and assisting graduate students with their advanced degree preparations.
She is a graduate of Clemson University with an undergraduate and master’s degree in Park, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a Sport Management emphasis. She also holds undergraduate minor in Legal Studies from Clemson, a Certificate of Leadership and Business Acumen from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership at Charleston Southern University.
